Victorian School Visit |
|
We have been learning about the Victorians
so we went on a trip to Skene Square Primary School to visit the
Victorian classroom. We got changed into Victorian style clothes and
headed into the classroom. The Head Teacher, Mrs. Begg, and the student,
Sue Murray, were very strict. We did Arithmetic, Writing, on slates, and
learnt hymns. Lady Knight-Forbes, Mrs. Gemmell came to test us on our
General knowledge questions. We had lots of fun discovering a bit about
what it was like to be a Victorian pupil. We all got certificates at the
end of the class.

Curling
 |
|
Along with P.7 we have been attending the Curling Rink, on the Lang
Stracht, for a four week introductory Course to Curling. We have been
enjoying it and some of us hope to carry on playing out with school.

Scottish
Chamber Orchestra Visit |
|
A group from the Scottish Chamber
Orchestra came to talk, and play some brass music to us.
Their names were; on tuba Matthew, on trumpet, Peter and Sean, Harry on
French Horn and Leanne on trombone.
They then split us into groups and we each practiced a piece of a short
story, performed with some reading and percussion instruments. We then
all got together and performed our piece in front of some of the other
classes.
