A Walk Around Hazlehead!!

On Monday we took part in a “Fair Trade Snack Swap”. We tried to bring a “Fair Trade” snack for playtime. We know  how to look for the “Fair Trade” symbol on chocolate and bananas.

On Wednesday our class went for a walk to Hazlehead Park .First we walked past some shops, then we walked past some flats and houses.We saw Hazlehead Academy and then the park . We went into the park and we played a game with  blue, green,yellow and pink words. We learned how to be eco-friendly too!!

On Tuesday and Wednesday we learned more about patterns and shapes , We had to recognise 2D shapes and we had to draw round them, making a pattern as we went. We learned the names of some unusual shapes- one of them was called an octagon and it had 8 sides!!

In art with Mrs Gamblen we first had to draw a building and then we had to cut it out.We put it on a black piece of paper. We had to paint it using a toothbrush!! We used  a flicking action with our fingers.
