Read All About It!

Our Writing focus for this month is a functional block looking at newspaper articles. The pupils will learn about the key features of a newspaper article and how newspaper articles are constructed. From this, the pupils will be able to start writing their own newspaper articles skilfully and with confidence. This Writing focus will link well to our Titanic IDL as the pupils will study newspaper articles from the 1900’s and will write their own on key events of the Titanic. Therefore, this study will allow the pupils to transfer their learning in one subject area to another subject area!

NOTE TO PARENTS
Please encourage your child to read the newspaper over the next month as this will impact on class learning. Discuss the following points if you can:
