School Meal costs to rise from 1st April

At the recent budget meeting, a series of increases to fees and charges was approved. Some of these had an impact for Catering Services and as such, the price of a School Meal will be increasing as of 1^st April 2019.  The increases will be as follows:

 

1)            Primary School Meals – increase from £2.10 to £2.20 per meal

2)            Secondary School Meals – increase from £2.35 to £2.45 per meal

 

I would appreciate if you could assist in passing on the communication to all parents via a group call, before the end of term.  So that parents are aware of the increase prior to the new term starting.  We will also advertise the increase and the menu on the Council Website and via Social Media.  I have also attached the latest Primary menu should you wish to pass this on to parents or to display within your School. 

 

Please be advised, that in order to make further efficiencies. It was agreed that the paper copies of the Primary School Lunch Menu will not be produced for the foreseeable future.   The normal process for Secondary School menus will apply and will not be effected.
