Leavers’ Show – organised chaos? A sneaky peak…
We have been up to our eyes in preparation, planning and practise. Our Leavers’ Show is taking shape and we are at the beginning stages of what could be a fabulous performance.
Save the date – Thursday 4th July 2019!
June – Month of Body & Mind
As part of our Whole School Monthly Challenge we went for a run. It’s important to get those steps in!
Outdoor Equations
We have been working hard to solve equations and create our own. Today we looked at substituting numbers for foliage.
Hazlehead Referendum
We have also been learning about the UK political system and of course BREXIT. Today we joined with other classes to debate reasons for leaving the EU and for remaining. We then held our own Question Time segment where individuals had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss. Then we all took part in our own referendum. We had to listen to the opinions of others, justify our own opinions and consider negotiation. Some future politicians in the making!
P7 World Of Work
As part of our learning this term, we have invited various individuals to speak with us regarding their career. So far we have had representatives from the following job sectors:- Healthcare, Education and Armed Forces. A variety of different skills required and very interesting insight into the daily responsibilities involved.
SHARE (Sexual Health And Relationships Education)
Just to let you know that Primary 7 will view the series ‘Living and Growing’ that is appropriate to P7 at some point this term as part of the Health and Wellbeing curriculum.
Primary 7
- In Primary 7 the focus of the learning will be around the theme of Relationships. This will involve a lot of discussion and where appropriate, consolidation and reinforcement of the Primary 6 topics/programmes.
