In School

COVID-19

We had minimal time to prepare for this new period of home-learning, however having just been awarded the Digital Schools Award we were quite well down the road of embedding digital technologies in our learning throughout the school. As a result, the pupils have had a lot of input about Online Safety from their teachers, Digital Leaders and during whole school assemblies.

Your child will be given lessons at home to reinforce what has been talked about in school. This may be to create a family safety poster, record a video about online safety or other creative ways to share what they know and have learned in school.

Internet Safety is very important to everyone at Hazlehead and we will continue to reinforce this throughout this period of home-learning.

Internet Safety In School

Our Digital Leaders have been learning about the safe use of technology and online safety. They created this Acceptable Use Policy and shared it with their classes.

All pupils in Primary 4-7 have agreed to it and signed the policy.

Internet Safety Day

Our Digital Leaders were hard at work teaching their skills to the rest of the school. Each pair were allocated a class where they taught a lesson about Keeping Safe Online.  They took photos and videos and created this Google Slide to represent the day.
