Live Author Event
Today we took part in BBC Authors Live with Emily MacKenzie. This event was part of Bookbug week. Emily Mackenzie shared her new book ‘There’s a Broccoli in my Ice Cream’. The story is about Granville the dog, his love for sweet, sugary treats and his family’s plan to persuade him to eat his fruit and vegetables. We then tried to draw our own Granville. We loved this story.
On Monday we walked to Craigiebuckler Church. Rev. Petrie told us lots of interesting facts about the features of a church. We then got to explore around the church, looking at all the different symbols.
As part of our IDL ‘Our Hazlehead’ we went to visit Pets Corner. We saw lots of different animals. Ask your child what their favourite animals were.
Hazel Comes to Visit!
Hazel came to visit Primary One this morning. It was very exciting! We then wrote imaginative stories about our adventures with Hazel. We had lots of creative ideas. Hazel went to space, in a hot air balloon, on a bear hunt and visited lots more places. Ask your child about their story.
