P2 take it very seriously – there were rumours from other weeks that people had been telling their friends who to vote for – that is NOT in the spirit of Pet Of The Week where we all follow our hearts.

Friday 17th June – P2S and P2NM vote for the final Pet Of The Week for Term 4

Monday 20th June – Voting Opens for Pet Of The Term Term 4 – This is online voting so share with your friends and family…!

Wednesday 22nd June – Voting Closes for Pet Of The Term and the winner is announced

Friday 24th June – Voting Opens for Pet of the Year – This is online voting so share with your friends and family…!

Thursday 30th June – PET OF THE YEAR IS ANNOUNCED

P4W with Miss Wilson are this week’s Pet Of The Week committee.  Unfortunately half of the class were off rock scrambling on a beautiful spring day for their photoshoot..!!!

Its been a momentous day in Pet Of The Week History as, for the first time ever, Mrs Mathers didn’t do Pet Of The Week..!  Little bit swamped in the school office today so Miss McDonald was in charge – after a hasty training session.

P7 Are the rockstars of Hazlehead School – They work hard and they play hard too…!!  Mrs Harper and Mr Crowther keep them on the straight and narrow until we unleash them on an unsuspecting world in just a few months time..!  Its a worry that in 6 years they will be able to vote – not just on ultra important things like Pet Of The Week, but on lesser things like who is going to run the country..!!

P6/7 Choose Honey As Pet Of The Week

In the week when Scotland retained the Calcutta Cup (which has visited the school in the past), P6/7 voted Honey as Pet Of The Week.

This term we are concentrating on the idea of having CONVICTION – you always have to follow your heart but you need to have the conviction that the choice you have made is the right choice and you can confidently stand behind that.

Honey would be the ideal class pet for P6/7 – they are quiet, gentle and kind too..!

We had some extra voters this week – Mrs Gordon was in class at the time, along with Mrs Wraith.  Miss McDonald, Miss Murchison (as always) and Emmeline our Music Therapist also joined in having the courage of their convictions..!

Mr Crowther absolutely did in no way threated his class with appalling reports on Parent’s Night if they didn’t vote for Gus the cat.  It can’t be proved (and trust me, the Anti Corruption Squad at POTW HQ have tried….!!!)

P3MO – what can we say about this class of wildhearted young bohemians…In their own words they describe themselves as friendly. smart and kind – all wonderful things to be..!  They are also maths wizards..!!!

Mrs O’Leary will be in class on Friday so will get to vote in person – Mrs Moir will vote by proxy.  Miss Murchison normally finds a way to be in the right place at the right time and will probably manage to get a vote in somehow…!!!!!

P3M are definite animal lovers with the current favourites being horses, rabbits and unicorns..!!

 

Pip Is Pet Of The Week

Due to circumstances outwith our control, we were VERY hip and happening this week at POTW HQ and we did a collab…!  P7 missed voting on their week, so it was both P7 and P3P who were voting this week.

This motley crew are P5M – 24 of the keenest readers in the school.  Miss Morrison is herself a long standing contributor to Pet Of The Week as she basically lives in a zoo.

Pet Of The Week will be voted for on Thursday this week and the winner announced on Tuesday due to the long weekend.  The Chair of the Pet Of The Week is spending time trekking with Alpacas – watch this space for some extra cute Alpaca pics next week..!
