Term 2 Winner – Ziggy

  • Full name and age? Ziggy Purdie age 1
  • Favourite hobbies? Playing with my tennis ball and going to the beach…or when Grandad picks me up from my kennel during the week at lunchtime so I’m not alone when all the humans are at work and school!
  • Favourite treats? I love any human food that I can get my paws on but blueberries and bananas or peanut butter on toast are my favs!
  • Play has been our school theme this term, what are your favourite ways to play? I love playing with my tennis ball – running after it, catching it without letting it drop or throwing it from my mouth and catching it again! I also love hunting and practice by getting Hugo to hide in the forest and I have to find him (I always manage because he always peeks!)
  • If you could have snacks and treats with anyone, who would that be? Definitely Grandad!
  • Do your humans promise to garner as much support online for you as possible and ensure a jolly good vote from everyone they know? There will be a lot of google classroom posts with the link for people to vote! But whatever happens, we’re all winners because we are all loved very much by our families and that is the most important thing…and to be fair my Mum is voting for Ollie because she thinks he’s cuter than me!
  • What is your favourite thing about Hazlehead Primary School? It gives me some peace to sleep during the day because Hugo has to come to school!

Wrestling with my humans, playing hide and seek in my house (Miss Davidson always hides in the cupboard under the stairs and I pretend I don’t know she’s there!) Using my paws to drag stones around the beach (it is very tricky and takes a lot of practise, I’m almost able to write my name.)
  • If you could have snacks and treats with anyone, who would that be? The whole of the Hazlehead P1/2 class (and any other classes that would like to join me!) I love seeing them playing in the playground and would love to visit them in class one day. Also Ruby, Miss Davidson’s old doggie, I think she would be able to tell me lots of stories!
