P4 Science Week

We had lots of fun during Science Week in P4!

We looked at gravity and air resistance. We made helicopters and investigated whether the helicopter with longer wings would fall to the ground quicker or slower than the one with shorter wings. We also did an experiment where we were defying gravity! We managed to turn a cup of water upside down without it falling out! Some of us were even brave enough to put the cup above our head!

We had a visit from Mandy who took us outside. We managed to make a bag pop by putting in some ingredients to cause a chemical reaction. We also got to make fires without using any matches!

On Friday we went outside to watch the solar eclipse – it was amazing! We made a pinhole projector so we could watch the eclipse safely. It was also Dress as a Scientist day – we had lots of crazy scientists in the class!!
