Our Charity Partner – The Gathimba Edwards Foundation

Hazlehead School have long had close relationships with the Gathimba Edwards Foundation.  This is a local charity founded by Myles Edwards and Gideon Gathimba who provide very practical help for families in Kenya.

The Foundation aims to provide as many Kenyan children as possible with the opportunity of a bright future. They do this through:

• Supporting school, college & university fees
• Supplying school uniforms, books and shoes
• Building houses or improving existing homes (some of which is done on volunteer trips)
• Supporting families to grow their own food
• Enabling families to start their own businesses

They also support children in Aberdeenshire with severe disabilities via the Neil Jaffrey Initiative.
