House Trip

School is very quiet this afternoon with all our learners off out at Hazlehead Park for their annual day of fun in the sun.

The house system and the house trip are very important here at Hazlehead – not only do children have an “extended family” to belong to, but it is a fantastic way for our pupils to make friends and connections with children outside their own classes and year groups.

The House Captains and Vice Captains have a chance to experience leadership roles as well as planning events and being role models – this develops their problem solving skills as well as their forward planning.

All this and they get to spend a day in the beautiful surroundings of Hazlehead Park, in the sunshine with their friends having fun.

Lunch is a highlight – who doesn’t enjoy a picnic with their friends..!!
